A Book I Love: Zero to One

The literary wasteland is rife with business books. Yet, there's something refreshing about Peter Thiel's Zero to One. He is intuitive and forward-thinking, yes, but he also keeps both feet solidly planted on Planet Earth.

It was both surprising and gratifying to hear a serial entrepreneur and innovator declare that you can, in fact, build the future by iterating on the past to create incremental value

“Always err on the side of starting too small,” Thiel counsels. "The reason is simple: It's easier to dominate a small market than a large one." It's the kind of sage advice that's easily ignored because it sounds too simple. Yet, the best advice is often the simplest one.
