It's just who I am
At some point, you may come to the realization that you’ve become Who You Are.
Your personality, preferences and goals are all locked in.
That’s it.
They’re never changing.
Ever.
When prodded, you say, “Well, it’s just “who I am.”
MJ Shrug.
But is it, really?
When did you decide?
Did you decide?
Did someone else decide?
The implication is that we go on accepting limitations as part of our narrative.
The alternative is to come alive in the notion that we can always evolve. Resiliency is one of the true gifts of humanity. We always have the ability to reshape our life.
This is possible in your 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and on. We must dismantle the limiting narrative of “It’s just who I am” in order to become skilled in new ways—intellectually, financially, physically and spiritually.
The new you awaits.
