Why Content Mapping?

When I think of my favorite nonfiction books, I find that I’m drawn to books that can teach me something new and hold my interest from start to finish.

I like books that turn on lights in rooms I didn’t know existed.

I like books that tell stories, expand my thinking and provide practical examples.

All those goals swirled on my mind while writing Content Mapping. We’ve been taught to create more content, to do more stuff. It’s tempting to believe in volume over value.

Yet, in a noisy world and a crowded marketplace, it’s not enough to simply create a ton of good content. We have to create the right content for the right person at the right time. We know this instinctively, but it’s easier said than done.

And so, I’ve written Content Mapping as a step-by-step guide to help you turn your content into your greatest competitive advantage—not by raising the volume but by raising the value of your content.

It’s been a treat to write this book for you. I hope you’ll check it out.
