On Questioning

Why does society look down upon questioners?

Why do we promote unbridled confidence, while looking down on those who raise their hands and ask questions?

Why do we praise the leader who presents himself as self-assured, even if he’s making things up?

Is it the mark of leadership to wing it, or is a leader one who has the humility to own up to ignorance and the courage to ask the right question?

Is it better to get the wrong answer expediently, or should we strive patiently for one of the many right solutions?

Do you have a burning question? If so, could it be that you’re one question away from a breakthrough?
